Vigan City, Ilocos is 250-miles from Metro Manila located in the west coast of Northern Luzon. It is the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO) World Heritage Site of Vigan. Vigan is the best-preserved example of planned Spanish Colonial town in Asia established in 16th Century. It is also the oldest surviving Spanish Colonial City in the Philippines. It is a treasure trove of history and culture.

The name Vigan is from a giant taro plant that grows in Mestizo Rive abuntantly, "Biga".
