Got nothing to do this weekend? Movie time – movie date night this weekend. “Bridge of Spies” is on Philippine Cinema Nationwide. The film is co-written by the Coen Brothers, Starring Tom Hanks, shot by Janusz Kaminski and it is directed by the legendary film maker Steven Spielberg, giving a good reason to watch the movie.

The movie is set in 1957 during the Cold War. A captured Russian spy Rudolf Abel (Mark Rylance) is charge with espionage. An insurance layer James B. Donovan (Tom Hanks) takes the case as a defense attorney for Rudolf Abel. He did the job to his full potential even if the court doesn’t cooperate and thinks that the alleged Russian Spy, Rudolf Abel doesn’t deserve to have a defense lawyer. When an American Pilot is captured by the Soviet, Donovan is recruited by CIA to rescue the pilot and negotiate a prisoner exchange. With little knowledge about the case, he heads to the East Berlin hoping for make a good resolution.

One of Steven Spielberg’s movie that I also liked the most is also starred by Tom Hanks & Leonardo de Caprio, “Catch Me If You Can“. Always full of thrill that you’ll never know what will happen next.
