Hermit’s Cove in Aloguinsan Cebu

By on April 18, 2016

You might have not heard the place yet but just an FYI, it is one of the best in Southwest Cebu. The strip of crystal clear white sand beach is tempting. It’s around 30 minutes driving distance from the famous Bojo River. Most tourist who visit for the river cruise usually culminates their fun and thrill adventure here.

It’s easy to get there if you have a vehicle but the road is a bit tricky. Entrance fee is Php50.00 while for big group & overnight stay is at Php100.00

I think it’s a quite and peaceful cove in weekdays especially on regular days. And it will peak on holidays, weekend and summer vacation. It’s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the hot summer outdoor.

From the entrance, you need to walk down the stairs. Be careful because it’s steep and may get slippery when wet. There are several cottages for rent as well as food and refreshment store.

We went there last year on December not for relaxation but for a Pre Wedding Photoshoot. We had a great time. The view, scenery and sunset are simply the best. I guess it’s one of the places I want to visit again and spend some quality time. It’s just 2.5 hours from the city and definitely a perfect place to relax and feel refreshed.

Unlike any other beaches in the region, The Hermit’s Cove in Aloguinsan, is a new beach getaway attraction. One local I have talked to said that it started gaining visitors just last year. It is still fresh and new. I hope they will continue preserving and maintaining cleanliness in years to come.

The Hermit’s Cove is truly a gem to Aloguinsan. The best of nature, white sand beach and excellent sunset. It’s a perfect getaway this hot summer. What are you waiting for, check it out…
